While only a portion of Southern California remains under an excessive heat warning, the rest of the Southland will soon be back into dangerous temperatures this week.The Apple and Lucerne valleys, including the cities of Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley, are expected to see "dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of 102 to 112" until 8 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service said.The forecast for the Inland Empire is shown on July 18, 2023. A disabled man in a wheelchair was shot with a pellet gun and then mocked early Saturday morning in Pontiac, Michigan, and detectives are seeking the public’s help in finding the culprits.Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the victim is a 30-year-old Pontiac man who was shot July 15 at 12:17 a.m. while he was on the sidewalk near the intersection of Bennett Street and Baldwin Road, heading toward a gas station. The suspect was reportedly in a small, tan sedan that pulled up next to the man, and multiple shots were fired.
