"Iced coffee, iced tea may sound like a good tasty drink on a hot day but ultimately that leads to relative dehydration in the long run.” Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! If you can't avoid the heat altogether, Brennan said limiting your time outside and knowing the signs of heat stroke and heat exhaustion can be key to keeping you safe on a hot day. Some of those signs include excessive sweating, dizziness, confusion, cramps, or headaches. Brennan said heat stroke can be more dangerous. “When we start going into heat stroke, that’s the ultimate time to call 911," he said. The Regional Transportation District’s L-Line train won’t operate for most of July to allow maintenance crews to repair a section of track along the Five Points light-rail spur. The L-Line won’t operate Sunday because of the monthly ¡Viva! Streets event, in which Broadway and Welton Street are closed to vehicle traffic to make room for bicyclists and pedestrians. And then a 21-day closure to allow for track maintenance begins Monday, RTD says, with the L-Line scheduled to reopen July 31.RTD recommends riders take the Route 43 bus, which travels parallel to the L-Line on California and Stout streets through part of Five Points. The L-Line, part of RTD’s first section of light-rail to open nearly 30 years ago, terminates at 30th and Downing streets on the north and travels south into Denver’s Central Business District, overlapping with the E and H lines on the downtown loop. LOVELAND — Big telecommunication companies should take a backseat to local governments, tribes and citizen groups when it comes to the nearly $1 billion in federal money to close the digital divide in Colorado, U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet said Thursday.Bennet joined other Colorado officials in Loveland to celebrate the federal windfall aimed at bringing high-speed internet to about 190,000 Colorado homes currently without access. Gov. Jared Polis pledged to close that “digital divide” by 2027, thanks to the grant. But doing so will mean “a completely different way of approaching that matter,” Bennet said — meaning the state shouldn’t dole out the money to big telecommunication companies in the hopes they start laying fiber optic cable in the farthest-flung and hardest-to-serve communities.Previous federal efforts to expand broadband infrastructure, totaling $50 billion by Bennet’s estimation, were ”in reality subsidizing the biggest telecom companies in America not to build ...Lawsuit claims Kanye West's school had dangerous wiring, no glass in windows

Drake fans upset at Ticketmaster over ticket prices for the rapper’s It’s All A Blur Tour As the former "Degrassi" star sang a slowed-down version of Ginuwine's "So Anxious," a phone came flying from the crowd.
