Drivers can go to a parking lot south of the Minnesota Fairgrounds to ask officers questions about traffic stops and get advice. They also can get coupons for free taillight replacement.Saturday’s event is an opportunity for new drivers to go through a no-stress traffic stop, Henry said.People who pull into the parking lot will be directed to talk to an officer. By JOHN RABY and AARON BEARD (AP Sports Writers)CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A federal lawsuit filed by a group of states that includes Colorado alleges the NCAA’s transfer rule for college athletes violates antitrust law.The lawsuit, filed in West Virginia’s northern district, challenges the NCAA’s authority to impose a one-year delay in the eligibility of certain athletes who transfer between schools. The suit said the rule “unjustifiably restrains the ability of these college athletes to engage in the market for their labor as NCAA Division I college athletes.”The lawsuit filed by West Virginia and six other states alleges violations of the Sherman Act. Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser is listed as a plaintiff in the lawsuit, and he released a statement Thursday afternoon in the wake of it being filed.“The spirit of athletic competition at the heart of college sports is undermined by this rule, which is another in a long line of NCAA policies that courts have overturned for har...Fontana street vendors accuse city of violating their civil rights

The no-going-back moment is etched in my memory. After four months of looking at beach condos, of flirting with the idea of a buying a getaway that we could also rent out, we finally had an offer in play. My husband, DC, and I were standing in the kitchen when our realtor — we call him Saint Bob — called to say that the sellers had accepted it.DC and I locked eyes. We mentally replayed all the discussions where we’d reasoned that this was the time, now that the kids were on their own, and while we were both still working. We’d rather have tried and been sorry, than never tried and wondered.I nodded. DC told Saint Bob to send the contract.Never mind that this was the first time in my adult, self-supporting life that I felt financially under control. I needed to mess that up.Saint Bob had taken us to see more than a dozen condos and sent links to many more to view online. Some were nice, but lacked an ocean view. Some had the view, but the complex was rundown. Some needed ...Bay Area pilot accused of trying to crash plane is released from Oregon jail pending trial
