It may only be April, but some parts of the Southland are getting a first look at summer this weekend.Temperatures on Friday and Saturday will be in the 80s and even 90s in some places, marking a sharp change from the chilly weather that's persisted through winter and into spring."Everything is going to be warming up over the next couple of days, and you can expect to have some temperatures above normal for this time of year," KTLA 5 meteorologist Mark Kriski. Twitter CEO Elon Musk is footing the bill for the Twitter Blue subscription for three big names who vocally refused to pay for the service. On Thursday evening, Musk revealed that he's paying for LeBron James, Stephen King and William Shatner's blue check marks himself. 51-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck by Off-Duty Officer near Bethel AvenueSANGER, CA (April 21, 2023) – Wednesday morning, Ana Ortega was killed in a pedestrian accident on Clinton Avenue.The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m., at the intersection of East Clinton and North Bethel Avenue.Per reports, a 45-year-old off-duty officer driving a pickup-truck struck a woman who was walking her dog on a paved road.Upon impact, the officer pulled over and attempted life-saving measures on the female pedestrian. Stolen Car Crash near West 94th Street Left One Dead, One InjuredLOS ANGELES, CA (April 21, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, one person died following a police chase on Harvard Boulevard.The incident first started at Redondo Beach Boulevard at around 2:30 a.m., on April 13th, and ended near the intersection of West 93th Street and Harvard Boulevard.According to reports, the Dodge was driving erratically and running red lights. The driver entered the northbound lanes of 110 Freeway and got out to Manchester Avenue.
