It is one of China’s most popular shopping apps, selling clothing, groceries and just about everything else under the sun to more than 750 million users a month. But according to cybersecurity researchers, it can also bypass users’ cell phone security to monitor activities on other apps, check notifications, read private messages and change settings. And once installed, it’s tough to remove. While many apps collect vast troves of user data, sometimes without explicit consent, experts say e-commerce giant Pinduoduo has taken violations of privacy and data security to the next level. In a detailed investigation, CNN spoke to half a dozen cybersecurity teams from Asia, Europe and the United States — as well as multiple former and current Pinduoduo employees — after receiving a tipoff.Multiple experts identified the presence of malware on the Pinduoduo app that exploited vulnerabilities in Android operating systems. BREMEN, Germany (AP) — American coach Pellegrino Matarazzo picked up his second consecutive win on Sunday as Hoffenheim beat Werder Bremen 2-1 to ease away from the Bundesliga’s relegation zone.New Jersey-born Matarazzo lost his first five games in charge after taking over at Hoffenheim in February but wins over Hertha Berlin and now Bremen have eased some of the pressure, even if Hoffenheim was fortunate to cling on for the latest win.All three goals resulted from headers — and some poor marking. Hoffenheim scored twice in two minutes early in the second half when first Andrej Kramarić, then Christoph Baumgartner were left unmarked to head in crosses. Bremen substitute Amos Pieper headed in at a free kick less than a minute after coming into the game to set up a tense finish. Bremen hit the post in stoppage time and then was awarded a penalty, only for the call to be overturned on video review because of an offside in the buildup.Hoffenheim is 15th in the 18-team league but i...Bloguero militar ruso muere tras explosión en un café de San Petersburgo, reportan medios estatales rusos

NEWCASTLE, England (AP) — Joe Willock and Callum Wilson scored second-half goals to lead Newcastle to a 2-0 win over Manchester United in the Premier League and above its rival in the race for Champions League qualification on Sunday.Willock’s 65th-minute header, for his third goal of the season, and a second from substitute Wilson in the 88th inflicted just a second defeat in 17 games in all competitions on Erik ten Hag’s team and gained Saudi-run Newcastle a measure of revenge for its English League Cup final loss to United at Wembley Stadium in February. It was a deserved victory, too, for the Magpies, who created the better chances in the game and might have gone ahead through Alexander Isak, Sean Longstaff and Willock before they broke the deadlock in front of a home crowd of 52,268.Newcastle is now tied on 50 points — one more than the team collected during the whole of the last campaign — with United, but has a significantly better goal difference with both having 11 games to ...Suspect in custody, 1 injured in Dulles Town Center shooting that closed mall Sunday

Now, his owner is looking for help from trained scent and search dogs to help find his best friend. “They got me and flew me to the Aspen Valley Hospital. At that point, all night I thought Ullr was buried and dead," Ullr's owner, Jacob Dalbey said. Dalbey survived the avalanche. “It carried me 2,500 feet and fully buried me and fully buried my friend Joel who passed away, and I had to dig myself out for three-plus hours," Daleby said. How much snow could Denver see in April? NEW YORK — Riding terrific reviews and a strong word-of-mouth, the role playing game adaptation “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” opened with $38.5 million in U.S. and Canadian movie theaters over the weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday, stealing the top box-office perch from “John Wick: Chapter 4.”The Paramount Pictures and eOne release appealed to more moviegoers than many expected a film based on a notoriously niche table top game to interest. “Game Night” directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley turned in a rollicking comic action-adventure, with a cast including Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page and Hugh Grant, that’s bringing in ticket buyers less familiar with “D&D.” Audiences gave “Honor Among Thieves,” which launched with a raucous opening-night premiere at SXSW, an A- CinemaScore.
