COLLINSVILLE, Ill. - Law enforcement agencies across Illinois are starting campaigns on Friday targeting impaired drivers.IDOT is in charge of the holiday enforcement campaign. The goal is to keep roadways like Interstate 55 and Interstate 70 safe during this holiday season.From Friday through January 2, law enforcement across Illinois is teaming up with IDOT to show zero tolerance for alcohol and drug-impaired driving. The campaign slogans are "Drive sober or get pulled over" and "Drive high, get a DUI." Law officers in Missouri started a similar effort on the day before Thanksgiving, and it runs through New Year's Day.The numbers show why the efforts of law enforcement are so important. LOUIS - St. Louis judges want to hire their own bailiffs because of staffing problems in the St. Louis Sheriff's Department.FOX 2's partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Sheriff Vernon Betts admits his department is understaffed, but he calls the move an attempt by judges to take over the sheriff's department. Lightning eMotors, which designs and manufactures electric vehicles for commercial and government fleets, agreed Thursday to have the Loveland-based company placed into receivership, signaling its default on its loans and financing.The company filed its agreement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company’s assets will be sold to pay its debts.The action follows a lawsuit by Cupola Infrastructure Income Fund, which sought to have a receiver appointed. A 90-year-old Asian woman with dementia who disappeared in San Bernardino Wednesday has been found, police said.Metna Filanen was located Thursday afternoon in the area of North F Street and West 25th Street, the San Bernardino Police Department stated in an update on Instagram. Filanen was said to be in stable condition. Filanen went missing Wednesday around 7 p.m. from 365 E.
