State championship-winning coach Tara Seifert is the new Cretin-Derham Hall girls basketball coach, the St. Paul school announced Friday.Seifert led Chaska to an 18-0 season capped by a Class 4A title in the truncated 2020-21 season. The Hawks went 112-19 over the last five seasons under Seifert’s guidance, including a 27-2 mark last winter.Seifert, who played college basketball at Iowa State from 1993-97, stepped down from her post at Chaska in April. On Friday, Rockwell Falls Public Library announced on its website that the story hour, which originally would have invited an area drag performer to read to children at the library, will no longer be taking place. ST. LOUIS -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol has been busy on St. Louis highways. They worked with the St. Louis Police Department Thursday on an I-70 law enforcement operation. They pulled over a total of 100 vehicles and made several arrests.Four troopers conducted 44 traffic stops. They conducted 10 arrests, issued 87 citations, and 23 warnings.Seven St. Louis Police officers conducted 56 traffic stops and issued 179 citations. They pulled over seven semi trucks for driving in the fast lane.The two law enforcement agencies worked together in May to conduct a similar operation. It is not clear if they will continue to conduct the traffic stops through the weekend.
