WASHINGTON — Dianne Feinstein, who has been absent from the U.S. Senate for weeks due to illness, needs to make a decision soon about her fate if she doesn’t recover enough to return for key votes in the closely divided chamber, Sen. (AP) — Authorities in eastern Indiana lifted a dayslong evacuation order late Sunday afternoon for an area near a plastics fire after they said it was determined air quality and other environmental concerns related to the fire were deemed safe.Wayne County Emergency Management lifted the order for people within a half-mile (1 kilometer) radius of the fire scene after consulting with state, federal and local health officials, Matthew Cain, agency director, said at a news conference. (AP) — Authorities were looking for a man they believe shot and killed an eastern Oregon police officer.Nyssa officer Joseph Johnson, 43, died Saturday night after a man he had pursued in a car shot at him. The man fled and Johnson was dead when sheriff’s officers and medical workers arrived, The Oregonian reported. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- The Nashville International Airport (BNA) was evacuated following an incident inside one of the concourses that left many with breathing problems Sunday afternoon.The airport's Concourse C was evacuated shortly before 2:45 p.m. because of "the presence of a noxious odor," BNA said in a statement posted to Twitter.(Melina Psihountas)At the time, the Nashville Fire Department told Nexstar's WKRN that personnel were responding to Concourse C due to "something airborne causing breathing problems."In photos shared with WKRN, multiple emergency units were seen on the tarmak outside the concourse. AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Department of Public Safety evacuated the Texas Capitol building after a bomb threat Sunday.Texas DPS sent an alert shortly after 5 p.m. that told people to "leave the area and follow the directions of first responders." The alert said the Austin Police Department received a call saying a pipe bomb had been placed at the Capitol, and that state troopers with bomb-sniffing dogs are currently searching the area "with more resources responding."A DPS spokesperson told KXAN nothing has been found as of 5:45 p.m. "If you are in the Capitol building, please evacuate," the message ended.APD said officers responded to the call at 4:03 p.m. but did not specify the call type.This is a developing story.
